I kinda took some inspiration for DivergentRay’s Weekly Wrap-Ups that she usually posts on Sunday consistently, but I don’t feel like forcing myself to do it every Sunday so I’ll only post about a week if I really feel like it.
I’ve been touching a lot more grass often because there’s finally some semblance of spring in this shithole town I live in, time to pop out the confetti I guess lol. This week, my mom has been helping me practice driving to finally pass my road test after I failed it last year, and haven’t had the chance to try again. Where I live, there’s 8 months of winter and snow is a son of a bitch to drive on so that the roads become a new type of obstacle during that season. Trying to practice and take your road test on winter roads is a nightmare, I only get very few opportunities to drive in ideal weather. Fingers crossed that I finally get it so I don’t have to ask my parents to drop me off or pick me up whenever I feel like going outside my introvert cave.
I’ve also been trying to make a habit of looking at all the sites that I bookmarked on my toolbar to check out later, so I can see the ones I like or can use as inspirations for my sites. I hoard everything, including site bookmarks and it’s getting out of hand. I may have to resort to using my sites as my link hoards, just to link the sites I actually like between my different sites.
Speaking of which, I finally have 3 of my persona’s sites online. Glossy Sunny Beach Bakeria finally being released in the middle of April. I keep having so many ideas and plans for all 3 websites, yet somehow I keep forgetting to write them all down in a journal somewhere. I know I have a to-do list on this site (where this blog resides), but I keep forgetting to update it too. It’s a pain in the ass to have to constantly do that, so I may have to find another system that’s more efficient for me. Which I’ve now done for all 4 of my sites I have to maintain, some needing a lot more work than others. But at least I know what to focus on instead of scrambling to find what to do next.
I’ve been trying to use my bullet journal often because I need to contain my chaos in a somewhat organized manner. Turns out unscheduled time is great, until it isn’t and you’ll have to figure out what you’re gonna do next or you’re gonna get nothing done at all. Seeing someone else’s simple layout for each week inspired me to redo the way I use my BUJO, which has been doing wonders for me so far. I do it by week using a 4x4 grid in each page, instead of a day-to-day basis.
I finally finished up my entry for 32-Bit’s Spring 2025 event a few days after the deadline, which I’ve been nervous about since I’ve never really made a layout for anyone to use. I knew I would eventually get around to it when I felt like I wasn’t fumbling everytime I tried to make anything in HTML/CSS, but I didn’t expect to do it so soon. It’s probably not the best nor most intuitive template for anyone to use, but at least I tried. If anyone decides to use it in the future, I can only hope they don’t struggle as hard as I did trying to make it.
